Happy Birthday Seth!

Seth loves to hike, but hates it when we put him in his backpack. He wants to be down on the ground running around with his brothers! So today, in honor of his 2nd birthday, we went on an easy hike and left the backpack at home. He had so much fun. After hiking (more like strolling) and exploring (more like stopping to look at every little rock, pick up rock, walk off the trail to the creek, throw the rock in, yell "plop!", walk back to trail, pick up another rock...well you get the point), we went home to eat lunch, put him down for his nap, and get ready for the big party.

He had a lot of fun at his party. He sang Happy Birthday to himself several times! Click the picture above for more party pictures.

Stone Mountain

Scott's mom's family had their Christmas gathering this past Sunday in Monroe, GA. We decided to go down a day early and visit Stone Mountain. Stone Mountain goes all out at Christmas and decorates the Crossroads Village with thousands of lights, Christmas music and shows.

We rode the tram to the top of the mountain. I think that was Luke's favorite part. He loved the big boulders that were scattered around the dome. He liked to sit in them and pretend they were race cars.

He even found this one with room for his brothers.

After riding the train and watching the laser show, we were all tired and ready to go. We took this parting shot in front of a mass of lighted trees in the Christmas village. I wish the picture did justice to all the tiny lights on the trees!

We had a good time at the Wilson family Christmas dinner on Sunday. The boys were disappointed that there were no other kids there, but they didn't complain when they were the only ones getting presents!

The Rabbit and the Turtle

Today we read the story of the Tortise and the Hare and Ben narrated it back to me. Here is his version.

The rabbit and the turtle decided to have a race. The rabbit thought the turtle couldn't win. The fox watched to see who won. The rabbit was winning at first, but the turtle was so far behind that the rabbit took a nap. The turtle kept on walking and won the race. The rabbit was angry because he thought he was the fastest runner.

So adorable

Here's the color version of the picture below along with a little scrapping. We got our new hard drive yesterday, so now I'll be able to upload some real photo editing and scrapbooking software.  Posted by Picasa
